President and CEO
Craig became President and CEO of RMS in October 2010, with responsibility for RMS’s investments and operating businesses in the United States, Brazil, China, Australia and New Zealand. As President, he leads an experienced team of forestry and financial professionals that manage a global timberland portfolio of over $4 billion. Before assuming his current role, Craig directed RMS’s investment management team, with responsibility for investment strategy, research, business development, portfolio management and client relations. Over a 37-year career, he has held a variety of positions at RMS and in the forest products industry, with experience in acquisitions, resource planning, forest management and wood procurement. Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and a Master of Forestry degree in Forest Business from Mississippi State University. He is Chairman of RMS’s Board of Managers and Investment Committee, currently serves as a board member of the National Alliance of Forest Owners (past-Chair), the world Forestry Center and the Auburn University Research Advisory Board and formerly served on the board of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, Inc. (Chair, 2017 President’s Award).
Executive Vice President, Corporate Development
Tom has more than 15 years of experience in the global timberland investment sector and is a recognized thought leader. He is responsible for directing RMS’ corporate development functions, including client relations, capital raising and business development. Before joining RMS, Tom was a partner with Stafford Timberland, where his responsibilities included transaction origination, investment manager oversight, capital recruitment and due diligence. Prior to his tenure with Stafford, Tom held positions of increasing responsibility with Global Forest Partners, as well as a variety of roles with global and regional investment banks, where he had responsibility for providing merger and acquisition advisory services. Tom holds degrees from Lehigh University (BS) and the University of Michigan (MBA). He also is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Tom serves on the RMS Investment Committee.
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer
Dennis is responsible for the financial management of RMS, its subsidiaries and investment entities, and the accounting and reporting of client investments. He also assists the investment management team in developing effective strategies for global timberland investments. He serves on RMS’s Board of Managers and Investment Committee. Before joining RMS, Dennis was a senior partner in a public accounting firm specializing in services to Timberland Investment Management Organizations. He has over 34 years of experience in accounting, finance, and taxation in the timberland investment industry. Dennis is a recognized expert in the timber industry and has provided services to timber clients ranging from consulting on specific projects to helping clients shape the growth and success of their companies. Dennis has assisted clients with the acquisition and disposition of several million acres of timberland through feasibility studies, financial modeling and assisting with the securing both acquisition and permanent financing. Dennis is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and received his Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of South Alabama.
Executive Vice President, North and South American Operations
Charlie is responsible for RMS’s forest management and harvesting operations on over 2 million acres across the southern U.S. and Brazil. He works in close collaboration with the Resource Planning, Finance and Accounting, Investment Management, and Asset Acquisition and Disposition teams to meet all client objectives. Prior to his current role he led RMS’s Resource Planning group and is a member of the RMS Investment Committee and RMS Board of Managers. He is a resource professional with over 20 years of experience in the forest products industry including multiple roles in both operations and resource planning. Prior to joining RMS, he held positions of increasing responsibility for Plum Creek Timber Company including the responsibility of managing over 600,000 acres of southern timberland assets and leading Plum Creek’s Operations Support group supporting resource planning functions on over 6 million acres. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management and a Masters of Agribusiness Management from Mississippi State University. He is also a Mississippi registered forester.
Executive Vice President, Investments
Alex leads the RMS investment management team. As Executive VP, Investments he directs a team responsible for all aspects of client relations, investment performance, business development and portfolio management. Prior to joining RMS, Alex worked at Plum Creek Timber Company. During his tenure with Plum Creek, Alex served in a variety of leadership and management roles of increasing accountability. His responsibilities included export market development; forest inventory and planning; harvesting contractor performance evaluation, timberland acquisitions and dispositions; retail land sales; and timber sales and marketing. Equipped with broad timber and business experience, Alex will drive business results consistent with client investment strategies and clearly communicate those results to our investment partners. Alex has degrees from the University of Virginia (BA), the University of Georgia (MS) and Vanderbilt (MBA). Additionally, Alex has worked as an investment analyst and appraiser for a large forestry consulting firm and managed his family’s farming operations. He is a member of RMS’s Board of Managers and Investment Committee.
Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific Operations
Bruce has more than 30 years of experience in the forest management business in the Australasia region of the world. He joined RMS in 2008 and oversees operations in the Asia Pacific Region, with a current focus on New Zealand, Australia and selected Asian countries. Bruce has extensive general management and strategic leadership experience in the forest management sector and the wood processing industry and prior to joining RMS he helped lead New Zealand’s largest forestry enterprise, Carter Holt Harvey Forests. During his tenure with Carter Holt Harvey, Bruce oversaw a staff of 120 and 2,500 contractors and was responsible for the management of 800,000 acres of timberland. These forests supplied five million tons of wood products annually to more than 120 customers in New Zealand, Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Philippines and the United States. Earlier in his career, Bruce spent a number of years working in Hong Kong as the Director of Strategy for International Paper and Carter Holt Harvey. In that role, he was responsible for business development and acquisitive growth in the Russian Far East, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand. Bruce is both a professionally trained New Zealand Forest Ranger and Forester. He also has completed postgraduate studies in Forest Engineering at the University of Canterbury; in Resource Management at Lincoln University; and, in Financial Management at the New Zealand Institute of Management. Bruce is a member of RMS’s Board of Managers and its Investment Committee.
Senior Vice President, Forest Sustainability
Jimmy oversees sustainable forestry and environmental policy and programs and advocacy on forestry issues for RMS-managed timberlands in the United States. He also has responsibility for forest certification and audit programs and leads environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives for RMS-managed timberlands globally. Jimmy earned his B.S. degree in Forestry from Mississippi State University in 1980 and his M.S. degree in Wildlife Ecology from Mississippi State in 1982. A Certified Wildlife Biologist, Mississippi Registered Forester and Society of American Foresters Certified Forester, Jimmy is on the Board of Directors for the National Conservation Leadership Institute, the Catch-A-Dream Foundation, the Mississippi Wildlife Federation, the Forest Landowner’s Association, the North American Forest Partnership, and the Amphibian and Reptile Conservancy. Jimmy is a Professional Member of the Boone and Crockett Club. In 1994, Jimmy was presented the prestigious American Forest and Paper Association’s Forest Stewardship Award for his leadership role in conservation of the Louisiana Black Bear. In 2017 Jimmy was honored as recipient of the Quality Deer Management Association’s Joe Hamilton Lifetime Achievement Award and the Wildlife Management Institute’s George Bird Grinnell Award for Distinguished Service to Natural Resources Conservation, both of which are the highest individual honors bestowed by the respective organizations.
Mary Kay Greer
Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications
Mary Kay leads RMS’ marketing and communications efforts, which entails overseeing media relations, public affairs, philanthropic activities, academic community relations and special events. She also directs the firm’s global corporate marketing and branding activities and manages its digital media platforms across the RMS operating footprint. Prior to assuming her current role, Mary Kay directed RMS’ client relations, client servicing and investor communications functions. She has more than 20 years of progressive experience in institutional timberland investment client relations and marketing. Mary Kay is active in a number of local charities in the Birmingham, Alabama area and attended Auburn University of Montgomery.
Senior Vice President, Resource Planning
Rodney leads RMS’ Resource Planning functions, which include forest planning, growth and yield, forest inventory, silvicultural research and Geographic Information Systems. His team utilizes the latest systems and technologies to support all of RMS’ investment strategy, forest management and land transaction activities. Rodney has more than 20 years of experience serving in roles of increasing responsibility within forest information management systems. Prior to joining RMS in 2017, he was Director of Resource Planning for Campbell Global. A member of the RMS Investment Committee, Rodney is a veteran of the United States Army Reserve where he served in an infantry training division. He received both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Forest Resources at Oklahoma State University.
