Employee Spotlight

  • Chuck Harrell

    Director, US Investments

Working on the Investment team for RMS, I appreciate the fact that our investors’ return experiences are at the forefront of all that I do. Investment performance drives my goals for the day and my goals for the year. I also appreciate having consistent and meaningful interaction with our investors. Communication is the foundation of strong client relationships. Listening and understanding what is important to our investors, anticipating their information needs, and providing them with insight and perspective on what we do to create value and manage risk for them is at the heart of our approach to providing excellent client service.
  • Robby Evans

    Resource Forester

One of my favorite things about my role as a resource forester for RMS is that I see every day how we create forest value for our clients across the landscapes we manage for them. My number one responsibility is developing and executing forest management prescriptions that increase timber and land values and this hands-on approach is a key element of our forest investment strategy. Being on the ground and making decisions about how best to optimize the value of a forest asset for our clients is exciting. It fuels my drive and provides all of the motivation I need to get up and go to work every day. I love what I do.

    Mike McCorvey

    District Manager

While overseeing forest operations, my work is a continuation of a lifetime spent outdoors and surrounded by nature. Like many at RMS, I grew up farming, hunting and fishing, while developing a special interest in forests and forestry. I am grateful to have built a career around managing forest resources sustainably, protecting water quality and bringing an overall stewardship ethic to the operation of our investors’ forests. RMS’ focus on teamwork and the supportive family atmosphere are an added bonus.

    Sheri Stephens

    Accounting Supervisor, International

For over a decade, I’ve enjoyed working with RMS employees across the globe that share an unwavering commitment to operating as a team. My responsibilities focus on managing the financial data and metrics the company produces and monitors to manage our investors’ non-U.S. assets. While traveling to other parts of the world, I’m able to learn about local forest practices and the manufacturing industries that depend on them and the diverse cultures of my co-workers. This all makes for a rewarding work experience.

    Travis Hughes

    Senior Forest Planner

At RMS, I have been exposed to virtually every aspect of forest investing, allowing me to chart a career path with a variety of opportunities to pursue both personal and professional interests. My job focuses on optimizing the biological productivity and long-term, financial performance of investors’ forests by developing strategies that allow RMS to create timber, land and non-forest values. I admire RMS’ focus on forestry and that it is managed by professional foresters who have a passion for what they do.
