Ed is one of the leading authorities on forest acquisitions and land sales. With over 35 years of diversified forestry and real estate experience, he has closed more than $6 billion in forestland acquisitions and sales since the mid-1990s, and since 1998 has overseen an average of $100 million in land sales annually. He is a licensed real estate broker in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, as well as a registered forester in Georgia and the Carolinas. Ed earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from Auburn University. He also has authored several articles on forest landowner management and real estate practices for industry journals. He serves on the boards of the Frank W Norris Foundation and the World Forestry Center, and is a member of RMS’ Board of Managers and Investment Committee.
