Bruce joined RMS in early 2008 after more than 30 years in the plantation forest industry in Australasia. His role is to expand the international portfolio in the Asia Pacific Region with a current focus on New Zealand, Australia and selected Asian countries. His past experience covered general management roles in both plantation management and the wood processing industries culminating in running New Zealand's largest forestry enterprise Carter Holt Harvey Forests involving 120 staff and 2,500 contractors covering more than 800,000 acres of timberland and supplying 5 million tons of wood products to 120 customers in New Zealand, Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Philippines and the USA. Bruce spent a number of years based in Hong Kong as the Director of Strategy for International Paper and Carter Holt Harvey working on business development and acquisitive growth in the Russian Far East, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand. He is a professionally trained New Zealand Forest Ranger and Forester and has completed postgraduate studies in Forest Engineering at the University of Canterbury, Resource Management at Lincoln University and Financial Management with the New Zealand Institute of Management. He is a member of RMS’s Board of Managers and Investment Committee.
